Electrostatic Powder Paint

1. Description of Services:

  • General Information – Powder coating is an excellent choice for the long-term protection and aesthetic appearance of metal surfaces, providing a modern and effective method for enhancing the protection and aesthetics of metal surfaces. Powder coating is a type of paint that comes in a powder form instead of a liquid. This paint consists of chemicals (polymers, pigments, fillers) and is applied as airborne powder particles. Electrostatic powder coating is an industrial paint with wide applications in coloring all types of metal surfaces. In other words, electrostatic powder coatings are the best type of industrial paints that have the least harmful effect on the environment and pose no threat to workers’ health. Currently, a wide range of oven paints is used for coloring various surfaces. The choice between using powder or liquid paint depends on consumer preference, but oven powder paints are the best option for the metal industry. The paint forms a dense layer with a thickness of 35-250 microns and has minimal porosity. One layer of powder coating replaces 2-3 layers of conventional paint. It creates a smooth, durable coating that is scratch-resistant and does not get damaged during transportation.
  • Advantages and Benefits – Powder coatings are free of solvents, which reduces air pollution. Waste in the application of powder paint is minimal, as airborne particles can be collected and reused. Powder coating protects metal surfaces from corrosion, abrasion, and impacts. Various colors and finishes (matte, glossy, textured) are available.

2. Explanatory Information of the Process:

  • Preparation – The powder coating process is carried out with modern equipment and technology, which helps achieve quality and durable results. Metal surfaces (such as steel and aluminum) are cleaned of oil, moisture, and other contaminants. Preparing the surface through sanding or chemical processes ensures better adhesion of the paint.
  • Process – The proper selection and use of powder coating equipment enhance the efficiency of the production process. Powder coating is sprayed onto the metal surface using an electrostatic sprayer. Here, the powder coating particles adhere to the metal surface through electrostatic charge. After the painting process is completed, the applied powder coating is placed in a drying oven at a temperature of 180-200 °C. This ensures the melting of the powder coating and forms an even layer on the surface. The inside of the powder coating oven is equipped with filtration systems to minimize the spread of powder coating particles. Ventilation systems are in place for air purification and circulation. Finally, a quality specialist checks the paint’s thickness, adhesion strength, and visual quality.

3. Customer Samples:
